Donald Ray is the head of corporate sales at the Q Hotel and Spa (www.theqhotel.com, 560 Westport Road). He’s been in the hospitality business “forever.” When it comes to making guests comfortable, Ray knows his stuff – and that influences his choice of restaurants.
Two Options in Kansas City for a Visit to Kauffman CenterQ is a "green" hotel, with eco-friendly products and policies. Parking is free — a big plus — as are Wi-Fi, breakfast and an evening wine reception. The breakfast room has something of a student hostel feel to it, and you will wait a long time for your custom-made omelet, but the place is a good value.
